- One of the key reasons why TiO2 is favored by paper suppliers is its excellent light-scattering properties. When added to paper, TiO2 particles scatter light, making the paper appear brighter and more opaque. This is crucial for producing high-quality papers that are aesthetically pleasing and easy to read. TiO2 also helps to enhance the whiteness of paper, giving it a clean and crisp appearance that is highly desirable in the paper industry.

Not everyone agrees, though. The European Commission banned titanium dioxide as a food additive in the European Union in 2022.
- 1. Toray Industries This Japanese company is a leader in the production of high-quality TIO2 pigments, which are widely used in paints, plastics, and paper.

Above 10%, 1 kg of TiO2 should be replaced by 1.3 kg of lithopone supplier 30%, reducing the amount of polymer accordingly.
Titanium dioxide remains in many food products in this country because of regulatory folly by the Food and Drug Administration, which allows problematic food ingredients to remain undetected and unreviewed.

Reason for listing: CNNC Huayuan Titanium Dioxide Co., Ltd., a well-known brand of titanium dioxide factory, started in 1989, specializing in the research and development, production, sales and service of titanium dioxide products. One of the titanium dioxide enterprises producing more than 10,000 tons.

The author thanks Marco Leona, Scientist-in-Charge of the Department of Scientific Research at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for conducting fluorescence spectrometry on Wheel of Fortune and a valuable discussion of the research, as well as Silvia Centeno, Research Scientist at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, who performed Raman analysis on the watercolors and also contributed her insight. The phenomenon of the phosphorescing lithopone was originally discovered during the author's fellowship in the Sherman Fairchild Center for the Conservation of Works on Paper, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The author thanks all her colleagues for their ideas and support during the research of this paper, and special thanks to Rachel Mustalish for her assistance in editing this work.

History
Relative Density Among commonly used white pigments, lithopone has the smallest relative density. Among white pigments of the same mass, titanium dioxide has the largest surface area and the highest pigment volume.
According to the American Chemistry Council, titanium dioxide (TiO2) is an inorganic substance that's used as a white powder in a variety of industrial and consumer goods, including in sunscreen, cosmetics, toothpaste, paint, plastics, food and more.
When E171 isn’t combined with other ingredients and administered in water, some studies suggest that under these artificial conditions, E171 may be processed differently in the body resulting in some biological changes in experimental animals that are poorly understood.

Titanium dioxide prices in India reached 3424 USD /MT and 3001 USD /MT for Rutile and Anatase grades during the last week of June.

Un pigment apparenté, mais où le sulfate de baryum est remplacé par du sulfate de calcium, prend le nom de « sulphopone »
Lithopone was discovered in the 1870s by DuPont. It was manufactured by Krebs Pigments and Chemical Company and other companies. The material came in different seals, which varied in the content of zinc sulfide. Gold seal and Bronze seals contain 40-50% zinc sulfide, offering more hiding power and strength. Although its popularity peaked around 1920, approximately 223,352 tons were produced in 1990. It is mainly used in paints, putty, and in plastics.
