Fiberglass water tank panels are made of food-grade resin and alkali-free glass fiber composite molding, featuring lightweight, high strength, corrosion resistance, leak-proof, and rust-free properties. The products have a standard modular design (common specifications are 1m×1m and 1m×0.5m), and can be assembled on-site using bolts and sealing strips. This allows for the flexible construction of water storage containers ranging from 1 to over 1000m³, widely used in domestic, fire-fighting, industrial, and rainwater harvesting applications.
Parameter Details
Standard dimensions 1000×1000 mm, 1000×500 mm, 500×500 mm
Thickness 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 15 mm (selected based on water head height)
Connection method Hot-dip galvanized or 304 stainless steel bolts + food-grade EPDM gaskets
Feature | Description |
Corrosion resistance | Resistant to acids, alkalis, salts, and humid environments. Never rusts. Ideal for water purification and coastal areas. |
Lightweight | Weighs only 1/4 to 1/5 of a steel tank of equivalent volume. Easy to transport and install. |
High strength | Hoop tensile strength >100 MPa. Excellent resistance to impact and water pressure deformation. |
Sanitary and safe | Smooth inner surface prevents adhesion of contaminants. Complies with drinking water hygiene standards. Prevents algae growth. |
Good thermal insulation | Lower thermal conductivity than metals. Reduces water temperature fluctuations. Optional insulation layer available. |
Easy installation | No heavy lifting equipment required. Can be assembled on-site using common tools. |
Low maintenance | No need for periodic anti-corrosion or anti-rust treatment. Service life exceeds 20 years. |
•✅ Potable (drinking) water storage tanks (residential, schools, hospitals…)
•✅ Fire protection water tanks
•✅ Industrial circulating cooling water and process water
•✅ Rainwater harvesting and reuse systems
•✅ Agricultural irrigation and aquaculture water storage
1.Assemble panels with sealing gaskets according to design drawings.
2.Insert bolts through panel connection holes and tighten.
3.Form a fully enclosed six-sided water container.
4.Install internal support beams (depending on water head height).
Water tank height | Recommended panel thickness |
≤ 1.5 m | 8 mm |
1.5 – 2.5 m | 10 mm |
2.5 – 3.5 m | 12 mm |
≥ 3.5 m | 15 mm or reinforced version |
